Hi guys, I was recently gifted my grandfathers Rotary watch. It survived Dunkirk etc and made it back to England. Apart from the fact its a tank style Rotary and has the date 1937 inscribed on the back (I presume it was manufactured that year or one or two previously) along with his initials, I don't know much about it. Does anyone know about this specific model?

Will post images below shortly as it won't let me upload them in my first post.

Thank you. Yes now you mention it the crown does look much newer than the rest so has probably been replaced. My auntie conformed that it is still the original glass though, which is impressive as I know he was out in Egypt for a while so it survived the heat and sand too.

The Lanco looks very similar indeed, I think there must've been a lot of overlap and different brands sourcing parts from the same places at the time.

I noticed on the forum that the age of certain watch brands can be determined from the serial number, is there anything like this for Rotary? (I couldn't find anything).

When it stops, is it correct to turn the crown in a clockwise motion to get it going again? Do you know how many 'winds' should I give it?
