Anyone buying anything in the AliExpress sale today?

Yet another big sale started today and there seem to be some good deals. I've seen a Sugess mechanical Sea-Gull powered chronograph for under £100, but I've decided I have too many watches and I will resist.....

Has anyone ordered anything?
Post good deals here, or has AliExpress fallen out of favour?

Not sure what Studi0 Underd0g offers more for five times the price (other than the aesthetics of course). But very happy with mine, and todays price is a significant chunk saving on what I paid (circa £50/50%)!

I've been lucky...but then each purchase has been carefully considered, reviews read, and risks mitigated. Lots of NH34/35/38 movements which as you'll know most microbrands use and punting out at 3-5 times the price. When you've got to cut your cloth but the itch is constant, then this provides enough endorphins until the next time...

Great choice! It will more likely be a week or just over, the biggest delays are usually when it arrives in the UK. You can check tracking progress through the Universal Parcel Tracking website parcelsapp.com, that way you can check the progress with China Post and it will also show who the UK carrier will be which is usually Royal Mail.

I went to check my order this morning but alas it hasn't shipped out yet. However, I saw a Pagani 36mm watch with NH35, sapphire crystal and AR coating for £40 odd quid and ended up buying it! Now I have 2 watches coming!

Well I weakened and bought this which is now with the post office, ordered on the 19th March.
Should be with me on Monday.

The watch I ordered on the 25th March arrived yesterday, much quicker than I thought it would. I can't see how they've made money selling it for £1.81 including shipping. Either way, it's a nice little Casio for the collection, I've got the black & gold F-91W that I prefer to the original & I think this just betters the normal white dial MQ-24.

OK, my will power has failed me, I've just ordered a Tandorio for £46, it's sort of a Hamilton Murph homage with a twist:

I've always liked the Murph 38mm and was looking at fairly close homages, but saw this and I just really liked the red dial more than black. I haven't told my wife yet, and might have to sell my current Tandorio...

Haul to 1 has arrived, ordered 19 March.

Crystal/caseback press (very basic but fine for my needs and a little care in operation), case openers, peg wood and faux rodico, screwdriver sharpener and stone and a pin vice.

Free terrible plastic tweezers, spring bar tool, o ring grease and cleaning cloth not pictured.

Which case back press did you order? I've been looking at those.
Thanks

Nice one Jon (y) - No sign of the diver I bought, but it is tracking, so fingers crossed for this week? - May be my only ever purchase from there though, as I bought a diver with a blue dial & ss bracelet, but when I got confirmation email, the pic showed the correct watch but with a khaki Nato strap! - I emailed A-E immediately, but the watch was dispatched before they answered my email & I still don't know what I am getting! - Their customer service seems poor, probably due to the millions of things they sell all over the world & the issues that will inevitably arise?

I’d describe it as rudimentary. Again, for what I want I think it’ll be fine and cheap enough to chuck if it’s no good. I kept looking at the red ones which people rave about but I’m just not likely to get the use of one.

I bought a cheap pin vice on Ebay a while ago and it is the most completely useless watch tool I've bought. I'd be interested to know how you get on with yours.
Feels nice in the hands and has a fairly smooth action. Will give it a go and report back. Again at less than £3 is hardly anything ventured.
