I'd always assumed the serial number on this one indicated 1971, but a quick check last night confirms 1981. Seiko keeping the 70s vibe running into the 80s.

 

Out to lunch with my parents today, so my smartest watch.

The Oceanus is a cure for buying more watches. I bought my blue face Oeanus on a whim from @Duncan U.

I had been looking at buying a grand seiko but the Cassio made that decision a bit redundant.

The Oceanus is a brilliant watch. The accuracy is incredible and its very nice on the wrist.
