Seiko might sell more of these if they took a picture as well as you. Always amazes me how much brands suck at showing us the product. All those cartoonish white background images they obsess with probably cost them a fortune in lost revenue.
Today I will mostly be wearing this rather good condition early 1970s Seiko 5 Thailand market. (See day window). I bought this off one of the Indian watch dealers on ebay about 10 years ago. You used to be able to pick up vintage Seiko 5s for under £20 from these dealers but the prices have risen considerably as the price of new Seikos has risen and the interest in mechanical and automatic watches has grown. These days You have to be a bit careful of some of these dealers who will create parts bin watches but back then there was little reward/effort and you can still find gems if you are careful.. and if not then it's not like getting ripped off on a fake Tag or Omega.
I love the bonkers dial and the incredibly weird chain link indicies. This was the glory day of the Seiko 5.. just before the Quartz killed cheap autos. I don't know what they were smoking in Japan but some of the dials from this period are simply insane.
