Just a quick intro—I’m new to the watch world, though I’ve been around them for a while. My father finally got me interested when he gave me an Orient Mako, and since then I’ve been slowly learning more. I’m starting to explore other pieces and figure out what I like… though I can already tell this hobby might get expensive fast

You're right it can get very expensive, however, don't just follow the hyped watches and influencers, there are some great watches at very affordable prices, like your Mako.
