....the name's Fitz.

I'm quite new to the world of watches though I have started a collection....of Casios!
I have around 20 so far....two or three Casio Royales in there, which I modded slightly, plus a couple more minor mods to a few others.
I just love the functionality, the looks, the robustness and above all, the value!
(Yep.... I'm cheap!)

Right now, however, I'm performing a minor refurbishment on my beloved Seiko 8M25-7000 - an 18th birthday present - which I wore a lot back in my youth, but had been in the back of a drawer until recently.
Dug it out, put in a battery, and off it went.... after over 30 years!!
It hasn't missed a beat, but it looked battered....scratched crystal, scuffed bezel and the bracelet looked like it's been through a war zone!

So I've polished everything that needs it and replaced the crystal, and it looks 100% better already, but the pushers are sticky, so I'll need a couple of gaskets - the old ones had gone very hard and brittle.
I've ordered a few more, but crikey they're not cheap....a tenner for three!!!
I could probably get them cheaper for generic, non Seiko brand....but I hadn't found Cousins at the time of ordering....typical!

Anyway, that's all from me for now, enough of my rambling....

....see you on the forums.

Hey....are you still reading this?!

Thanks for the welcome folks!

I'll get some photos in the relevant sections soon enough....though my whole collection probably cost less than new Seiko!!!

It's about how they make you feel right....and my humble Casios make me feel happy!

I do own a Tissot too....(PR50 Chronograph) which was a 40th birthday present....blimey, that was quite a few years ago too!

Hi Fitz. Welcome from a fellow Norfolk member.

Nothing wrong with Casios. They're some of the most reliable and well thought out pieces at any price. And of course they do hold the world record for the most of any model sold, ever.

Enjoy! And get some photos up.

Welcome to the Forum.......

"It's about how they make you feel right....and my humble Casios make me feel happy!"

That nicely sums up watch collecting and this forum, it is all about how a watch makes you feel, no matter how small or large the cost................

Welcome @Fitz1968 , some great watches you've posted on the owners club. I need to get round to posting more on there myself. Im a fellow casio enthusiast, I like the oldies. Careful how you go with your ventures into the classics, before you know it you'll end up with hundreds like me as there's so many different Casios. I started with marlins, then going for the W's then the DW's, the A's, the B's ....
