A bit self conscious to post this one after a couple of Speedmasters, this watch is very recent though and has a personal story.

I was not following this Moonswatch Moonshine Gold craze where they are now issuing a limited version model for an even more limited period of time and only in some Swatch stores, not online. Sometimes sold exclusively on a single day like the first one, for this one the period is 7-21 Oct.

Mine is the third version, celebrating the Hunter’s moon, that this year was on Oct 7th. Previous ones had celebrated the Aug & Sep moons, whose names I don’t recall (it’s Moon, isn’t it?)

So last weekend I was in London and a moment I was reading online about watches, as you’d do, I got to know about this latest Hunter full moon and the of the 7th, on which date I had not even known there was a full moon.

At that moment I knew I had to get this particular one - see, this past 7th Oct, with the coincidence of the full moon and the watch, it was also the day I turned 50. Gen X’er 😃

On Sunday I tried my luck as these can be quite secretive even when you talk to the store personnel, and come and go fast, but there was one at the Swatch Covent Garden store which now graces my wrist.

Wearing it for the first time today after the needed strap change.

Another busy day, so late to the thread. I'll throw in another great sunset in Ohio.
