Hi

I waste too much time but not much money on aliexpress. My latest super bargain is this dive watch that cost less than £6. Cheaper than a pint in Belfast! I bought I it to see what a duvet would look like on my wrist.

This is the one that I was wary of forcing the clasp on, though that is now ok.
What surprised me was that the bracelet can't be adjusted. They're aren't any pins I can push out.
Is that just because it's dirt cheap?
If looking at watches on AliExpress is there something I should be checking?
Obviously I could buy a new strap but when the watch was less than the cost of that I might be better putting it out as a giveaway here.

(40mm dive watch looks ok to my eye. Might look for one with an adjustable bracelet come black Friday, or the AE equivalent)

Certainly the less you pay the more chance of it being a bit of a dud , I remember my first order on Ali express , I was sceptical so I bought something for a 5er similar and it too had no way to adjust the bracelet , I probably wouldn’t believe that you can’t adjust the bracelet if I hadn’t seen a watch arrive with the same issue with my own eyes

I would say to try and stick to the main brands that everyone uses like cadisen , pagani design , steeldive, wm, etc as most of the models are tried and tested and pagani have a few sub brands for cheap watches.

sometimes paying the extra money is worth it most of the time watches are better the more money you spend especially when going from £5 - £50

Ali has some cheap mesh bracelets that are adjustable. I got one under 5USD and it's held up well, though now it is not in use.

Just a quick word on AliExpress:

1. Always look for cusomer reviews, particularly ones with photos, they often tell you more about the product than the listing.

2. Look at the store, how long has it been operating and what rating has it got? Don't buy from stores that are rated under 90% (prefer 95) and that haven't been open at least a year, preferably longer.
