I consider myself fortunate with my interests in watches, I enjoy all types, hand wind, automatic, electronic, quartz analogue and digital, so I never really get bored. But sometimes I'll take a break from watches, so not only do I have an unreasonable amount of watches, I've also got a growing number of clocks, radio alarm clocks and vintage ghetto blasters.

So here's my latest acquisition for when I next take a breather from watches. From the 60s, this Philips 22-RS-274 bedside radio alarm clock.

Looking forward to getting round to this. I haven't plugged it in yet, I'll give it a once-over first, replace the plug and flex as this is all original, the plug doesn't comply to current standards, the flex typical 60s brittle old colours 2 core and it won't be getting back the 13A fuse it's currently got.

It's only rated a 6W according to the sticker underneath, it will be getting a 5A fuse and that's being over generous.
I seem to remember years ago fuses used to be blowing all the time in various appliances, you were then hunting around looking for replacements, and when you couldn't find one, robbing one from something else.
This certainly doesn't warrant a 13A fuse though.
