If you were given 3 Watches...

Recommended Posts

Apologies if something similar has been asked before, I just find these quite interesting.

Say for some inexplicable reason, you were going to be given 3 watches of your choosing for free. with the only rule being that you cannot sell them or give them away - so no profiting from them. All are purely for your own enjoyment..

I understand this is extremely transient and can change by the minute, but at this point in time, which 3 would you choose?

I think mine would be:

1. A Lange 1815 Flyback Chrono

2. JLC Reverso Tribute Tourbillon Duoface

3. Patek 5726 1A 001

Rolex air king

Omega Seamaster 300

Nomos Glashutte Neomatik or similar

but that list might have changed in half an hour (I’m a bit flighty).

What a thoroughly fine RWP-style thread. Not much substance, but lots of eye candy.

Three watches to keep  --  and, nothing in the rules about these being your only watches  --  so, one must dream. After a little thought, I would add these to my little collection . . .

First, a watch after which I hanker anyway (and might just aspire to in real life one day)

Second  --  a bit further away

And third  --  which i shall never own in real life (and which is so much more attractive in the metal than in photos)

if i was given any of the above watches....i would want to know what was expected in return.....no such thing as a free lunch...but if pushed....i would have "the lobster starter"....."the next most expensive thing on the menu"....and forfeit the dessert for a "taxi home"....perhaps my class is showing :)

I'm sure there are better pictures of each of these online, but at least I have had the chance to try them on.

This one was stolen, but I would like to get another one day, SBBN013.

I have to say that my picture doesn't really do it justice. If you ever get a chance to see them in person they are well worth a look. I would probably sell my entire collection to buy one (if I wouldn't still be 20k short)

They really are amazing. They're often at Salon QP and as you say, incredible in person
