Just seen the marketing info from Breitling regarding their new Avenger Seawolf Blacksteel. This will be the third in the Ltd eddition range:

1. Avenger Skyland (2008)
2. Super Avenger (2009)
3. Avenger Seawolf (2010)

Being a Seawolf it had the quartz movement, so is the first and only quartz in the range.

I was tempted by the Skyland last year but couldn't justify the price to myself. Anyway, what do you guys think???

pure class! they look pretty awesome
"When I see a pretty girl walking down the street, I think two things. One part wants me to take her out, talk to her, be real nice and sweet and treat her right."
"And what did the other part think?
"What her head would look like on a stick... ” .

I've worn the last model PVD, and it was comically massive, just ridiculous, something like 49mm and 17mm thick

You're right, that would be the 'Super' Avenger and it is massive!

The Skyland and Seawolf are a tad smaller (but still larger) 45-46mm I think....

regards the Rolex's, I'd take one of those over the Breitling any day, if it
were given..... can't help but think they'd be slightly more expensive though...

To me modern Breitlings resemble a bag of spanners, coating them in PVD just makes them look more hideous. :bad:
Hum, hum, hum, hum, hum.
My favorite tune. :)

I really like the blacksteel concept but why don't they produce a blacksteel bracelet? Call me old fashioned but when I pay that much for a watch I don't want it on a rubber strap :D

I agree. A bracelet option would be a good move!

I have Navitimer and I thought that was a hefty piece! I like the dark and forboding look, but it just seems a little overdone here, those rolex daytona's are :notworthy: by the way!

would love one of those breitlings over the rolex any day. The pvd on those rolex looks cheap and nasty.

could just be my dislike of the brand causing hallucinations though
