This is a very early rare Strela.Much thanks goes to Sonyman, for letting me have it very reasonably ,on the understanding that it had the incorrect large center seconds hand and wasnt working correctly.

Its been a bit of a struggle to find an original chrono hand for it,as i knew it would be,but thanks must go to a very good friend in Russia,Thank you Alexey, who gave me one for nothing,.

The watch is now working correctly and has the large chrono hand in place. As you can see the dial has some age to it,but in a bit of an overused phrase i think it adds to its charm,i certainly will not be going for a redial.

Very hard to find one of these early dials, with this particular dial configuration, in excellent condition, and if you do, first thought is always that its been redialed.

Anyway a cherished addition to my collection.

Regards,
Russ.

Mike
Jason,i have been trying to construct a site for my watches for a while.....with little sucess...i struggle to count to ten most days :derisive: .I have been trying to bribe my daughter to do it,but being a good Essex girl,i think it would end up costing me more than getting a web designer to do it. :black eye: :D

Hey Russ, my old watch!

Looking great with the proper second hand and if I remember rightly, it keeps awesome time?

Was a great watch that I really miss

...and it was I who sold it to Mark in the first place... Glad it has stayed 'in the family' and great to see it with the proper hand.
(had I found one I would have kept it)

The thing that makes me most happy is that everyone who sold it sold it within this board and it has now gone to someone who loves it and will keep it, Thats the best outcome altogether for me.

I enjoyed wearing it the most out of all my strelas...

I had to cut down to just 2 after getting unemployed and the 2 I kept are mint.... now I don't wear them as not to scratch them... Where's the fun in that ...

(looking for a basket case one to wear now... )
