Hello

I took a punt on an ebay watch, which I though looked interesting. However when it arrived I didn't like it and found it was running very fast. It is fast by 7 seconds in every minute!!!! blink.gif (I'm sure one of you guys can fix it though)

Anyway. It winds ok and lasts for over a day until it needs to be wound again. The date and day functions both click over when they should. The date advance button on the side works as it should. The case is clean; I've polished the scratches out of the acrylic so that is nice and clear. The strap has a deployment clasp; it's clean and functional and goes well with the watch (fits up to 7.5 inch wrist).

Dimensions
36mm width (not including crown)
44mm height
10mm depth (including crystal which sticks out about 1mm)

I'm looking for a straight swap. Any hand winding watch that keeps reasonable time please (I've not got a hand winder yet).

Nice double mainspring movement! Hairspring probably needs a degrease to stop it running fast.

Watches.....just one more!

Hello

I'd like to see pictures of your natty blue-dialed 1970s Timex and Summit Incabloc.
You can email the pics at peterswindells{at}hotmail{dot}com

I'm after a manual winder which keeps time but I'm not really fussy to be honest. The Sekonda I have is certainly a striking watch, just not my taste and it obviously needs a service because it is running so fast.

Cheers
Pete

Interestingly enough its adjusted past the + side of advanced, I have seen pieces adjusted to that level become more normal when adjusted back the other way, worth a try
The simply pleasure of holding life’s vintage treasures is truly a joy. Some stay, some go to make room for others, you play with them for a while then look for a new toy, it is an addiction at least, a fascination of what is no more at best!

The Sekonda is now in the hands of Vamos666. Swapped for a pair of nice watches, Summit and Timex.
Thanks Vamos and rltb.gif
