Blue Face Watch Options

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

So starting my collection I have a black faced Tissot Couturier and a White faced Le Locle

Looking to get a lovely blue faced watch, around 300 ish but could maybe stretch and would be happy to look second hand.

Preferably Automatic and a little larger this time so maybe 42mm+

Here are some images of the sort of style I've seen ( Not considering the watches in the images just an example of the style I do like )

Thanks in advance

Hamilton would be a good call.

And I love blue dials.

Ingersoll tend to be chinese these days and in my experience over priced.

Cool I do like the Hamilton but I have read there are quite a few fakes knocking around on eBay etc

How would I be able to tell if it's the genuine article

For £300 (and with a bit of luck) you could pick one of these up new:

Such a good watch and it suits so many different straps! :)

Citizen, second hand.

Or break the bank and blow £5O on a decent watch.

Or this one in all blue variant. Both this and he one above are actually within budget. I think they're around 300$ or a tad more if bought from Europe.

Thanks all for suggestions so far

Nothing really jumping out at me at the moment, although all great suggestions they're just not my style or what I'm looking for at the moment

Maybe I shouldn't be so picky

The Alpina works out at £408

Cheapest I can find an Alpina Startimer Automatic from anywhere else is over £750+

Does buying from Gemnation incur import fees etc and has anyone else bought from them before

Wondering if it's worth just stretching to £400 for the sake of what looks like brand new beautifully built Swiss watch

IMHO Ingersoll are just expensive Chinese powered watches. Not great quality and silly prices. Just me.

If that's a modern Ingersoll you could likely have it for that price.

Otherwise let's just be honest here. You posted a bunch of pictures of watches with complications, most chronos. You want automatic. Auto Chrono don't come cheap unless they're Chinese. And then they're cheap for a reason... They're junk!!! Not all junk is worthless, just most of it is. Some junk will last you a while and they serve a purpose.

Look at Parnis.
