When President Kennedy was assassinated what were you doing ?

Recommended Posts

Mrs Salt, the owner and I were in the dairy of Banisters farm in Finchampstead, near Reading, milking her prize Jersey Herd. The battered transistor radio, covered in bird poop was on the window ledge, blaring away when suddenly the news of Kennedy's demise was announced in shocked tones.

and you ?

I was watching the TV with my parents, the picture went off and morbid music was broadcast, with no picture.

A very strange day.

Playing Scalextric at a friends house. His cousin came into the room and told us but we managed to finish the race. If you had asked about John Lennon, Princess Di or many others then I would not have a clue.

I was just 6 so I probably asked who Present Kenny was and what was a sassy nation.

I sort of vaguely remember seeing it on the news and and the footage of Jackie and the children at the funeral.
