Rotary watches

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. I have managed to get my hands on several mechanical Rotary watches. They seem to be chinese. They are all auto wind. 2 of them the dial had unclipped and moved out of line which I have sorted. 1 had a small pice of copper coloured metal jamming the winding rotor, which I have no idea where it has come from except they are skeleton watches and have a lot of fancy decoration, which is non functional, except for appearance. 2 more of them wind but unwind as fast , the fingers whizz round until the spring uncoils. I am asking if it is common? Or if anyone know anymore about the movements?

If the hands rotate as you wind the watch, you have a big problem. I would start by looking at the pallets. As for the copper coloured part stuck in the auto work. It could be a loose, case bur. need some pictures.
