Authentic Molnija watch?

Recommended Posts

Hello All.

I'm new to this forum and would like some help authenticating a watch I am very interested in purchasing.

I have done a fair bit of googling and cannot find anything on this particular watch so wondering if it is legit? Or maybe a pocket watch that has been converted to a wrist watch? (I found mention of this happening on the web). If it is legit is the price a fair one?

Sorry I cannot post a pic of it but I will add a link to the auction.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

That watch movement is the Moljna 3602 that was used in many a pocket watch. It is a good solid movement provided it has been serviced properly.
So in answer to your question, yes it is a pocket watch movement in a wrist watch case.

As to giving a possible valuation, that is not something that we do on here. I suggest you try looking on the bay for sold items of a similar ilk.
