I've been press ganged into a holiday to Scarborough.  So far this year I have been to Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Sweden and France for work, so the 710 thinks I need to have a break and she has picked Scarborough. :sadwalk:

Does anyone have any recommendations of what to do there?

is it child friendly?  I'll have the brats

No kids not allowed.

If you drive 20 miles to Bridlington  my other half has a Pottery studio, where you come in and paint some pottery etc etc, worth a visit as kids love it. Don't go to the one in Scarborough as its rubbish, you might even see me pottering in there if you come to Brid, leave the kids here and we'll go for a pint :)

that is a winning answer!  I'll be in touch nearer the time, as that sounds ideal for a rainy less sunny day

If you don't fancy Scarborough then you could tell here that you have just found out that there is a big watch fair on that week.

I went to Scarborough once. It's a bit different to the West of Cornwall. That's all I'm saying.

This place also used to sell watches as well, I can't see anything on there web site but maybe a quick look on the piston heads forums might turn something up.

Oh look at the pretty cars Mary Doll lets stop and have a look and if memory serves me right its also around where Flamingo Land is.

And I wonder if you could get a spin out in that F1 car the have for sale. £150K is no money at all to have something like that as a toy if it's genuinely and ex F1 car.
