    Generally Accurist is most popular British watch brand. You can check this funny Accurist advertisement from Youtube. It does not give answers, but gives some information about brand. What I found from Google, it seems that they are well made watches with chrono movements. I guess it have Valjoux or Landeron movement. Probably your watch is from 60´s. Of course photo would help to make estimation about your watch. These comments are just guessing.
  8. I have beautiful Slava USSR Russian split second stopwatch with original box. It is made on (2-MChZ) 2nd Moscow watch-factory. Its intended for trainers and professional sportsmen. The stopwatch has original metal-chrome case. It has caliber: 5498 and 20 Jewels. Dome glass is original plastic (Plexiglass). Size diameter 65mm without crown and 83mm with crown. Watch is from 1990. I think it is really well made. I love its robust design like many Russian watch have. What do you think?

    Seems to be Landeron 14 as you mentioned. There is not any manufacturer calibre mark under balance wheel like normally should be.

High quality movement and Swiss made of course. Frame diameter 49,5mm and with crown 63mm. High beat momement 36000 A/h. The watch co-op Markenuhren-Verein or Markenuhr GmbH ("Watch Brand Company") was founded in 1924 by Willi König and Willibald Felsing of the Zentralverband der Deutschen Uhrmacher ("Central Association of German Watchmaking"). The company soon began using the name Centra or Zentra (a shortened form of "central") on watches and founded the ZentRa brand on September 4, 1927 in Berlin. This Zentra winding watch has famous and reliable Valjoux 7734 chronograph movement. Watch condition is very nice. It seems that watch has been used very little. Watch has only few signs of use (scratches). Movement is also working well. Frame diameter 39x43mm. Case is made of stainless steel. Watch comes with Speidel USA flexible stainless steel strap!
