  5. Speedy? Anyway, this for me today. Had forgotten how much I like this bracelet, very comfortable. Will be changing to something more dressy later (Rolex again probably) as out for a bit of posh grub with friends tonight.
  6. Out tonight in Covent Garden so this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. iirc that's called tmesis which is apparently the only word in English usage that begins with 'tm' - gotta love Steven Fry.

  9. And a great salesman gets them to spend what he wants them to spend!
  10. Lots of people could afford it Rog, it's just what else they're willing to sacrifice instead. Not saying it's a good idea for them, just that they could if they had to.
  11. If you want to be good at it then better make it the one you are passionate about. Real enthusiasm comes across and can be infectious, which is why very good salesmen either love their product or are half decent actors.
  12. You know it! Actually I might send one or two out to build up the funds to buy a... Bullhead? Silver Pogue? Kakume? I want them all!
  13. Yes, several and all for different reasons. Quartz dress watch mum bought me; Alpinist coz it's lovely; Rolex coz it's quality; Sharkey just because.... I could go on and would probably list half of them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Favourite thing is the green and gold and on brown leather seems to go fine with most things. Catalyst watch was gold Seiko 5, almost never worn now. [emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes it is! That's the watch my mum bought me on my 18th so holds a special place although it's not a special piece. There's a spare same movement in there too in case I need parts to fix this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Haha, quite right Rob! Didn't actually realise how many I had until I bought the watch box... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I absolutely love the Alpinist, I wear it as much as anything I have as it is sex on a strap. The orange one (bottom row 3rd in from rhs) is an Orient Mako EM65. Which funnily enough I don't think I've ever worn even though it is sporting one of my favourite straps. (And apologies for carp photo's, must do better next time).
