    AVO's SOTC, April 2018

A very nice collection. Really echoes a lot of my taste in watches. That 1961 Omega being my birth year watch is one I would love to own. I love the family connection and have a watch that belonged to my grandad and father. Plus one or two from a dear family friend which I inherited. So I love the stories behind your family watches.
  3. This is also a difficult question that I too have been wrangling with recently regarding . The watch I have owned from new with the most wear I don't feel inclined to restore. Most of the wear was inflicted through hard work when I had a hands on physical job. I now work behind a desk most of the time. So I'd like to keep that watch in its present state as it is as a reminder of our shared history. The other watches I have bought secondhand I could be tempted to get a makeover it just depends on if it's just normal wear or damaged. Even then it would be a light touch up. I do like the look of a obviously vintage watch sitting under a crisp expensive shirt cuff. Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk

    Your favourite dress watch.

One of my old favourites. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk Almost forgot I had this one. Anyone familiar with the Dominion brand? It says Swiss made on the back. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk
  5. You could get an Omega as the others have said and that definitely would be my choice. Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk

    Old timer returns from Switzerland!

Great to see a piece like this with history. Made me wonder if my kids will look after what I hand down or sell the lot as soon as I'm gone?

    Whatever Happened to Avia

This thread inspired me to drag this poor thing out of the watch box. I might even change the battery when I get time and see what happens. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

    Dive watch under £1000

Hi Jimmy, when you say the brushed version do you mean what Squale call blasted? The one below is the one that I have been looking at. It seems from the pictures the sides are brushed but the top of the case is polished. I agree about buying new too and them holding there value. http://squalestore.com/newshop/shop/1521-ocean-sky-blue-bezel-steel-case/ Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk

    Dive watch under £1000

How about a Squale 1521? I have been drawn to one of these for a while. They look nice with the blue dial. Any options on these? Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk
  11. Wear it on what you feel comfortable with, Do not focus too much on what others think it is everyone's right to be individual. I was considering getting a date just and wearing it on a nato. I was lucky to be handed down my grandad and fathers watch. I wear with pride. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk

    New Arrival!

That is very cool, if you excuse the pun. I actually like it as it is a lot with the blue bezel. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk
